Weston Corey is a Richmond, Virginia native who has been working professionally in the lighting industry since 2012. True to his Virginian roots, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, and graduated in 2016 with a BFA in Lighting Design. Currently, Weston is enjoying working at his alma mater as the staff lighting and sound technician for the VCUArts Theatre department. In addition, he freelances for theatre companies and live entertainment entities around the state and beyond. You can commonly find him at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, where he heads up the lighting department as production electrician for all, and designer for half, of the shows in their yearly season. 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Weston made several shifts in occupation. He has worked as a commercial electrical apprentice, in the AV industry as an installer, project manager, and events technician and using those skills, he spent 18 months as a project manager for Barbizon Lighting Company.
